If you're looking for value and basic everyday tasks like web browsing, document editing, or streaming video, the Acer Aspire 5 17 is a solid choice that won't hurt your wallet. However, if your usage includes demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or high-end gaming, you'll find the MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio offers superior performance that can handle these activities much more effectively, but it comes at a higher cost. Also consider the MSI will generally have a shorter battery life due to its more powerful components and may be less portable due to its size and weight. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio is very good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 5 17 is good.
The MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio, with a more powerful CPU and more RAM, offers superior performance and screen quality for demanding tasks, but it's less portable and has a shorter battery life compared to the Acer Aspire 5 17, which provides adequate performance for everyday activities at a more convenient size and with longer battery life. While both have substantial storage, the MSI's superior keyboard, speakers, and thermal management justify its higher price for those who need advanced capabilities.

The MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio is very good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 5 17 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 5 17, while suitable for lighter gaming, has a less powerful GPU and a standard screen refresh rate which doesn't match up to the MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio's top-tier graphics card and high refresh rate, crucial for fluid visuals in intense gaming and 3D applications. Meanwhile, the MSI also benefits from a stronger CPU and superior screen quality, enhancing overall performance and visual experience, though the Aspire 5's components are adequate for less demanding tasks.

The MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio is excellent for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 5 17 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 5 17, while suitable for basic engineering tasks, may struggle with more demanding applications due to less powerful CPU, RAM, and GPU than what the MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio offers; the Stealth's superior screen quality is also a boon for design work. However, the Aspire has advantages in portability and potentially quieter operation, which may be valued by those frequently on the move or working in noise-sensitive environments.

The MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 5 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 5 17's screen may offer adequate resolution and brightness for daily tasks like browsing and video streaming, while it may fall short in vividness and clarity for more color-sensitive work. The MSI Stealth 18's screen delivers higher resolution and brightness, contributing to sharper, more vibrant displays which is crucial for detail-oriented engineering and design projects that rely on accurate color representation. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite their good color and resolution, both fall short due to lower refresh rates that are less suited for the fast-paced visuals required in high-end gaming experiences.

"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
